Abstract

Abstract: In practice, dance therapists acknowledge a correlation between changes in movement repertoire and changes in psychological functioning and behavior. Yet, systematic documentation and research into these phenomena is rare. Should a positive relationship exist, research on movement repertoire and its correlates would lay a solid foundation for the methodology of dance therapy as a viable treatment modality. This study of a blind, obsessive compulsive individual illustrates a descriptive approach to these phenomena and demonstrates the need for further research and study in this area.
